This is so unfair

Honestly, I find the sound effects and color change to be disadvantageously distracting, not an unfair advantage.
(Before anyone tries to change the topic: I know how to turn them off, I'm just too lazy)
This is yet another example of someone with a point that actually isn't half bad but they've ruined their chances of having a normal discussing by whining "unfair! unfair! Every time I lose it's someone else's fault!" and just immediately annoying everybody.

Only thing I'll say to the real question is that I think it's a little odd as well.
otb chess and online chass are 2 different things. In online chess there isn't "touch move" or "adjust" or writing the game. In otb chess we can't premove or auto-queen or clock warning (but we don't need it because otb chess is not played in bullet or lower time control).

Come on, still trying to compare OTB chess and online chess ...

I guess we have to accept this is a facet of Internet chess. But, wouldn't you want to win on skill rather than your opponent not noticing his clock? I'd imagine you still have an advantage over a player being stressed out by a low-clock warning and having to make fast moves.
