on a different note does it rub anyone else the wrong way when an untitled player offers paid private lessons? i see it from time to time on this site. infinite flash for example is like 2000 strength and offers an entire paid course.
No, it is market economy. It is for customers and potential customers to decide if it is worth it. And assuming he markets it to relative beginners then definately strong enough. As long he correct pedagocig skill needed. Loads and loads of most influental chess teachers in real worl and aroun 1700-1800 mostly teaching kids

I enjoyed reading this experiences of chess coaches :)
Im just getting started with my first student next week and would like to avoid getting on the list of bad coaches.
My plan is to use Skype sessions together with the "study" function on lichess.
Does anyone (perhaps a coach) know if there is any way to hide comments i made on games so the student dont see all the answers when i invite them to a specific study? My Fide is around 2100 and for my first student we agreed on a very humble per hour rate to reflect my lack of experience with online teaching.
