Talking About Cheating

If you DM someone on lichess about another user cheating, can you get banned? What if it was long, long ago? What if no offense was taken to the player that cheated?

You can dm, you can actually form a group to ban that player, but firstly u need to show them proofs that that player actually cheating(Game analysis). If it was long ago, depends on different situations. If that player was cheating until 2021 and stopping cheating, then just ignore and drink water. If that player is Full-Time cheater and never stopped it, then you need to read again first part. But when the player cheates, i just casually dont give -

or you want to ask another user A to examine user B?

First variant is more common than 2nd, so yes.

I was to ask user A to examine user B

1) No, you cant be banned
2) You mean you are user A?

If you tell the player directly you think they cheated they can report you and you will get a warning.
Telling another player (who I presume is a friend) is not a problem.
