Why aren't simuls more popular? What can we do about it?

At some point I had a thought, "wouldn't it be great if lichess featured simultaneous exhibitions?". It didn't take me long to figure out lichess actually already has simuls, the only problem being that nobody uses this feature.

I think simuls can be both fun and educational, either as an exercise for a strong player against a horde of weaker ones, or as a challenge for a player against 2 comparable ones.

How can we increase awareness of simuls, and make it easier to find a match?
Simuls are often joined when some titled player / strong player holds it or/and it is being streamed on twitch.
Apparently simuls shouldn't be rated; I already asked it.
@Nverness :if simuls are rated , I think will more people play.
also who makes the simultaneous should be able to choose whether to play rated or not
@azuaga: The thing is, for rated simuls to be fair, there needs to be some form of compensation for the host, which depends on the number of opponents. That requires a whole new sort of model, which thibault might not be inclined to implement. (I can help with the algorithms if needed).
The problem with simuls seems to be that too many people who can't win ONE game of chess seem to be trying to play FIVE :D
I don't think simuls should be changed to rated because it just greatly over complicates something is simply meant to be a test of skill for host. For those playing against the host it would just imbalance their rating because you'll be playing with an advantage (yes the host can add time to take some pressure off of themselves but its unlikely that it can reliably be perfectly balanced).
