Pools - chess 960

Great work on the pools, but please a somewhat longer time control than 5 0? I consider 7 0 or 8 0 ideal for 960...
960 pool is probably going to be replaced with a 5+5 standard pool.
Obviously the 960 pool is not as "successful" as the standard pools right now. But you might want to consider improving the situation by offering a more reasonable time control before giving up on it....

(Think of it as standard 5 0 with a little extra time needed to study the starting position)

...or not.
Some updates are going to be made to the pools in the next few days. Specifically, your clock will start after both players have made a move. But you will still be required to make a move within 30sec of your first turn, otherwise you will be resigned.

It might be possible to change the time control to something longer, but I'm not sure at this time. The pool won't be replaced immediately, but if it continues to go unused after these alterations, there's not much reason to hold onto it.
Since they are all
1+0
3+0
5+0
I would recommend a 10+ 0
May get some sort of vote (like in the training) so that the pool timings reflect what people are presently looking for.
Something longer like 10+0 has been considered (this is my favourite time-control after all). The main issue with longer time controls is that the wait time in the lobby will increase dramatically. There really needs to be enough players to support the longer time controls, and currently it doesn't appear that there is.
--currently it doesn't appear that there is.--

Well, offering a 5 0 option only is not going to give you much relevant feedback on how many people would be interested in a 960 pool if there was a longer option.

That's like if you offered only bullet, so only the bullet crowd would go to play there, and then concluding from that small number that people are not interested in pools.

Try all the tweaks you like, but don't drop 960 without giving it a chance at a longer time control, is my point.

I, for one, wouldn't mind a longer waiting time.
