I think average age is probably late 20s - early 30s.

Turning 65 this year. Agree #2...but There seems to be a lot of urchins also. So you know cookies... There was a post sometime back where a number of members revealed their ages. :]

It is not bad killerchewy, and age is not directly related to chess experience and skills. I am 26 and close to 1700 here after one year of chess. Maybe I can give you the same advice that I received, to play slower time control, more classical chess, in order to improve. Instead of mainly bullet.
