I might show up, although I am relatively crap at chess. Who exactly is the "us" we are invited to come and join? Will the dude who programmed the site be there?

Thibault (Lichess founder) will not attend as he's not in Europe at the moment, but you will see some of the other devs and moderators.

The best of us will be there, without a doubt.

Attending the meetup is free. Playing games and meeting the amazing lichess team members is free. However you will have to buy your own drinks.

Make sure you also buy a drink to a lichess developer or moderator. These guys are working hard, and for free.
