So in my last 2 games , 1 blitz 1 classical, i was ahead by points ( 3-4 in blitz and 10 in classical! ) but when my timer got 0 it says my opponent won so i ran computer analysis of lichess it says i forfeited on time...
Can anyone explain to me why did this happen ? My elo got down by -10 to -20 points in each of them.

same, but i think, if you run out of time, it means you didn't manage too play fast enough, so you lose..

He probably tried doing the same thing.....I'll just get another queen to display my immense chess prowess......
Well i have no immense chess prowess nor a mind that is born only to play chess. That game is not related to the problem i had in those 2 games mentioned above , and i admit i got into the temptation of making all my pawns queens without ending the game with draw.
W/e like i mentioned in those 2 games i was definetely winning , maybe my opponent played his move quicker than me , i think a lot before make my move so my time ran out before him/her..
But i definetely lost many games that i my opponent is ahead by points and my timer ran out.. Can anyone tell me what is the exact rule here?
