What do you think of the ICJ hearings in the court with South Africa against Israel's crimes?

I think it is a small and largely symbolic opportunity to at least shed some light on Israeli war crimes in Gaza, and recognize what in the best case is a massive enterprise of ethnic cleansing, and in the worst the genocide of Palestinians.

Most probably, it will have no impact on the ground, A.K.A. scores of Palestinians being killed on a daily basis. I strongly believe Israel's plan is that sooner than later they can't take it anymore and flee out of Gaza. Then wait during one more decade for the inevitable next terrorist attack originated from the West Bank, and do a copy paste there.

It's hardly news by now, but the West Bank is a purgatory right now, while the Gaza strip is Hell itself. At least one could hope for a bit of Truth coming out of the ICJ, though there are reasons to be pessimistic.

At least, respect to South Africa for doing something.
