Puzzle ambiguity

I thought that it could happen and this is the first case where I've actually seen it in a puzzle. Is blacks pawn one step from promoting or has it never moved?

In other positions where White has at least one pawn remaining it's simple enough to figure out the orientation but here both are legal positions.
You can know it using the coordenates (numbers). Black pawn is in H2 (but the natural position for one black pawn is the 7th)
So black is one step from promoting.
@EugeneJudo, in puzzles, like it is with games, your side is the bottom side and the opponent's pawns will be moving towards you.
#4 is also correct. If you are playing black, than the top rows will be White's starting position. But as JustTraining said, there are coordinates as well. Glad you got it sorted out.

Cheers.
