How to improve Blitz panicking

Okay, I'll try to do less calculating then. (Also noob2chess that's a good idea to practice with 4m for a while, I'll try to do that)

Haha, I feel like I'm learning a whole new game :S
Alternatively, master all the endgames and have confidence that you can blitz them out with no time remaining. Then with confidence spend time on middlegame moves!
Hello;

I have read interesting things here, indeed. I will give you some tips that may help you in your blitz/bullet gaming.

1. Blitz chess and bullet chess are just two variants of classical or standard chess time version. Therefore, a good way to improve your quality and self-confidence in the first chess time variations, is to study the opening, the middlegame and the endgame through slow games to think and assimilate concepts and positions that will remain. in your subconscious.
2. Always quick development of pieces and castling -except you are crushing your opponent, indeed-.
3. If time given is five minutes -or more- take it easy, and focus especially in the middlegame.
4. If you are playing against a player with your rating, try to have only a little difference of time with respect to your opponent. If your opponent is stronger, increment your time to think, but no more than 15 seconds (if time given is 3+0), 20 seconds (if 5+0) or 1 minute (if it is approximately 10+0). Increments are interesting, but, for some reasons, I only would play with them OTB.
Update: I won my school's chess tourney, even beating my arch nemesis who beat me last tournament!

Thanks for everyone who helped me with blitz, I used your suggestions and I didn't time out or panic. (Also, I practiced with 4 minutes instead of 5, so time wasn't an issue for me... even if my blitz rating suffered...)
Now get better and beat him next time. Dont let him make a comeback. :D

PM me if you want to look over your games or practice some.
